MediKit Features: Assessments

Patient assessments: rapid and accurate alternatives to paper based check lists, scored in either conventional or SI units:
- Anaesthetics & Operative: APACHE II score, POSSUM scores
- Cardiovascular:
  - Coronary Heart Disease risk and Stroke risk profiles. Using logistic regression equations derived from the Framingham population study, allowing calculation of estimated risk of coronary heart disease & / or stroke events for a particular patient based on their risk factors.
    Risk factors (eg smoking) can be added / removed to determine their effect on the calculated risk.
    5 & 10 year risks are calculated, however calculation for a specific number of risk years can be performed.
- Paediatric: Children`s Coma Scale, APGAR Score, Clinical Croup Score, Syracuse Croup Score .
- Psychiatric: Mental State Score (MTS), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Koenig Brief Depression Scale, Hamilton Depression Scale (in 17 or 23 point format)
- Surgical & Operative: Alvorado Acute Appendicitis score, Cardiac Risk Index, Child-Pugh Classification, Modified Imrie Score, Ranson`s criteria
- Miscellaneous: Bishop Score, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), Barthel`s Index of activities of daily living
